UPDATE: 3/1/2024 11:00 AM
Dear Valued Customers:
MyPoz was informed by Chinese customs that Shenzhen Bay Port will reinforce the control of the wooden pallets export. The general or sensitive air cargo that uses solid wooden pallets as packaging needs to be fumigated and marked with *IPPC (International Plant Protection Convention).
The currently affected channels are:
- Air freight from China to Malaysia: general cargo channels, sensitive channels, double-exemptions (sensitive free and volumetric free) air freight channels, paramedic supplies channels, and tax-included channels
- Air freight from China to Singapore: Singapore general cargo, Singapore sensitive cargo
*Sea freight is still available
The customers must select the “airline wooden frame packaging service” when adding a package for air shipping. Otherwise, the shipment is unable to be despatched.
The warehouse staff will reconfirm the packaging before despatching the air cargo and inform the customers to choose the proper packaging. The customers can choose to:
1- Remove the wooden frame provided by the seller and ship it directly
2- Remove the wooden frames provided by the seller and request the warehouse staff to ship the goods according to the qualified wooden frame specifications
*The customer will need to pay an additional fee for disassembly and reinforced packaging.
If the customer chooses to remove the original wooden frame and ship it directly, any subsequent damage/loss of the goods will be borne by the customer.
If customers insist on using disqualified wooden pallets for despatch, customs may detain the shipments, and customers could face fines. Any resulting losses will be the responsibility of the customers.
The customer can also ask the seller to use plastic boards or plywood as the wooden frame to avoid unnecessary expenses.
